NOTICE REGARDING FUTURE PUBLICATION OF WASHINGTON HIGHER EDUCATION FACILITIES AUTHORITY PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES

Notice is hereby given that the Washington Higher Education Facilities Authority (the “Authority”) is electing to apply the proposed regulations issued by the Internal Revenue Service with respect to the public approval requirements for tax-exempt private activity bonds under Section 147(f) of the Internal Revenue Code. The proposed regulations allow the Authority to streamline its public hearing notice process by expanding the options for providing reasonable public notice of tax-exempt bond issues to publication on websites in addition to newspapers, radio or television, or other methods consistent with applicable state law. The Authority is notifying the public that it intends to forgo future newspaper publication of its public hearing notices and will instead publish notice on its website (www.whefa.org). The Authority also maintains a Public Notice Mailing List for notice of public hearings and meetings.
