Walla Walla University (the “University”) is a fully-accredited
comprehensive college that enrolls more than 1,800 students in
liberal arts and professional programs. Founded in 1892 by the
Seventh-day Adventist Church, the University seeks in its mission to
foster the unique gifts of every individual within this community of
faith and discovery.
The University is fully accredited and offers more than 100 areas of
study in liberal arts, professional, and technical programs with six
bachelor's degrees, six master’s degrees, an associate of science
degree with four concentrations and graduate programs in education,
biology, psychology and social work. All programs are rooted in the
liberal arts philosophy, providing a broad-based and well-rounded
education. In recent graduating classes, the most popular
undergraduate majors were in the areas of business, education and
engineering.
Located in the Walla Walla Valley of southeast Washington, Walla
Walla University also operates a School of Nursing in Portland,
Oregon, and a marine station near Anacortes, Washington. A graduate
social work program is offered in Missoula and Billings, Montana.
The University has used the Authority for the issuance of two
Streamlined Tax-Exempt Placement (STEP) program financings and most
recently used the Authority’s prior Equipment Financing Program. The
total par value of these issues is $6,387,777.
